Manchester Digital regularly keep members informed on the latest events, news and jobs via an email newsletter and personalised member emails.
However, knowing that their audience predominantly use the workplace chat software Slack for internal communications, they were looking for a way they could deliver messaging straight to their members’ teams and skip the inbox.
We enabled them to develop a Slack notification system, whereby members can opt into Slack notifications in addition to email notifications (or instead of).
Members can opt into this through their online members area, and will start to receive notifications directly in the Slack app, allowing them to easily see the latest member news, announcements and to make the most of their membership.
