Last week we ramped up our festivity by having a full day of Christmas events. During the day we had the privilege of working as volunteers for charity, Cash for Kids. Cash for Kids are a Manchester based organisation who help disabled and disadvantaged children in Greater Manchester. Their latest fundraiser, Mission Christmas, aims to give children who will not get any presents for Christmas a chance of waking up and being able to unwrap something on Christmas morning. As volunteers our job was to sort all the donations into age groups and provide each application with the presents they needed. It shocked me how many children were nominated by other charities or teachers and really put things into perspective about how much we take for granted. On the whole we loved sorting through and picking out gifts we thought they would like, I felt very nostalgic, looking through books like “Going on a Bear Hunt” and “Guess How Much I Love You”. In the evening the wider Huddle team got together at Evuna for our Christmas meal. We celebrated with some amazing tapas and paella, followed by drinks at Albert Schloss. It’s not often we get to socialise face to face with our remote team so it was a great opportunity to have a laugh and a chat. This full day of Christmas has definitely put us in the mood for 2 weeks time!
